While wandering along the shores of Half Moon Bay,
My heart always turns to thee far, far away.
Oh, how I wish I could be close to thee one day,
My Unnamed Lake!
When I first set my eyes upon thee,
I was but a young student barely seventeen,
Thy beauty and serenity stunned me,
My Unnamed Lake!
I found my love under the weeping willows by your side,
The pagoda witnessed my teaching career until I was forty-five.
I dream of thee with bitter and sweet memory like eternal tide ,
My Unnamed Lake!
It is thou who taught me and helped my goal of life fulfill,
No matter where I wandered in the world, never forget I will
The gratitude to my teachers and my friends still,

Since the day I fell in love with thee, half a century has past,
